Jim joined the Board of Directors in 2001. He has served as President the past 5 years; prior to that, Treasurer and At Large Member. Jim started his ballroom career at Arthur Murray/Burlington where he is still a student. Jim dances pro-am American Smooth & Rhythm and amateur competitions. You can find him most weekends at one of the area’s many social dances. Jim says his favorite dance is “whichever one I’m doing”. Jim is employed as a Sr. Software Engineer for Fidelity Systems/Boston. He owns and operates a website business, Bostonboating.com. Jim is single, no children, but often speaks about his real ‘mistress’, his boat, Hat Trick, which lives at Cape Ann Marina. Jim began ballroom dancing to learn a few things so as not to look foolish at clubs and weddings. It did not take long for him to get hooked on all the benefits. MASSabda has become a real labor of love – Jim strives for MASSabda to be the most active chapter of USA Dance and for Massachusetts to become a real ballroom capital.
