7th Northeast Winter Dance
Camp February 17-19, 2006
Mark Sheldon & Didi Von Deck

Mark Sheldon & Didi von Deck joined the professional
ranks in
October 2005. Before that, they were among the most experienced
and
respected amateur instructors in the United States. They have
coached
and lectured extensively on the university circuit. Mark has
coached
the MIT ballroom dance team to great competitive success for
over 5
years and has also coached at Harvard and Boston Universities.
They are
known for their good humor and their clear and engaging teaching
style.
Competitively, they have represented the US at 7 Amateur and
Senior
World Championships and at the World Games, they are 3-time Open
British
Senior finalists (the only US couple ever to make that final),
International finalists, and 5-time undefeated US Senior
Champions.
As
performers, Mark and Didi are known for their easy movement,
elegance, and sensitive musical interpretation. They also
maintain
full-time non-dance careers: Didi is an orthopedic surgeon and
Mark is
a visiting assistant professor of computer science at Wellesley
College. |
